Súťažné rozhlasové hry v dvoch kategóriách demonštrovali, ako pokročilá práca s technológiami v konečnom dôsledku podporuje fantáziu, učí ľudskosti a ponúka deťom a mládeži zaujímavý myšlienkový obsah.

Celkovo súťažilo 25 dramatických titulov z 15 krajín – 14 rozhlasových hier v kategórii rozhlasových rozprávkových hier a 11 rozhlasových hier v kategórii rozhlasových hier pre mládež. (…)

PRIX EX AEQUO za výnimočný výkon v rozhlasovej rozprávkovej hre získal Nicky Coghlan – autor, producent, dramaturg, režisér, zvukový majster a v neposlednom rade herec v hre Cisárove nové háby z produkcie RTÉ – Raidió Teilifís Éireann z Írska. (…)

‚The Emperor’s New Duds‘ follows Hansel and Gretel, on the run from their mother, as they get embroiled in a fiendish fashion fight.

Stars from across our Young People’s Programming have recorded lines remotely and they’ve been woven into a riotous retelling of the classic Hans Christian Anderson fairytale.

Muinteoir John plays Emperor Trout – tiny Feet, small heart and a sense that he is the most important man in the universe, while muinteoir Ray twiddles his moustache as the devious designer, R Stiltskin.

Phil Smyth, scientist extraordinaire, tries to advise the awful tyrant, with Aisling Moloney of News2day is on hand to document proceedings, giving the goings on a hard news stare.

Clara Murray, Niamh McManus and Shannon Keenan from RTÉjr Radio play rival tailors and the tricky mother.

Producer and writer Nicky Coghlan plays Rufus, the cat narrator, while Sadhbh and Rosa Marshall Coghlan with Gabriel Sankey fill the kids roles.
