The Lives Of Harry Lime 1/52 (Životy Harryho Limea, 1951-1952)
Orson Welles a další.
Účinkuje Orson Welles a další.
Nastudovalo Radio Lux v letech 1951 – 1952.
Welles k některým epizodám napsal i scénář.
Pozn. 2: Harry Lime, in the movie, is a manipulative black market drug dealer. In the radio series, his role is expanded to con-artist extrodinaire, who tackles almost anything illegal, with someone else always getting caught. The movie accentuated Lime’s black side and the viewer feels little sympathy at his demise. The radio version of Harry Lime portrays him in a lighter touch. You know he’s bad but you can’t help liking him. – The haunting theme music in both the film and radio series was performed by Anton Karas on an unaccompanied zither. – A Ticket To Tangiers: An excellent twenty-eight minute ‚prequel‘ radio play that was one of over fifty spin-off radio shows. Written by and starring Orson Welles as Lime, and complete with interval breaks ‚just like they had in the old days‘ in order to capitalise on the use of Karas‘ zither score. Lime is far less villainous as Lime, but still just as lovably roguish. The play is presented in mono with a static visual image on screen.
